The Gate Theatre is an artist-led organisation producing original work of world class excellence which connects, questions and transforms our audiences.

First time at the Gate Theatre?

Performances start promptly at the advertised time, and the café and bar open an hour before. There's no dress code, so just come as you are.

What to wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in. The Gate has no dress code.

What if I'm running late?

Performances start promptly and latecomers may not be admitted, so allow plenty of time to arrive. The café and bar open an hour before the show.

Can I bring children?

Children under 8 may not be admitted unless a performance is open to them, and some productions may not suit younger audiences. Check the show page or ask the Box Office.

Access

Two wheelchair spaces in the auditorium are reached by a lift at the rear of the building, with an accessible bathroom on the same level. Auracast streams audio to compatible hearing aids, and selected performances are ISL interpreted.
